About Me...

Hello I am Lisa Dansey, Director of Sundial Accounting, and would like to tell you a bit about myself and my accounting background.

My career has taken me from training in a small chartered accounting practice to becoming the UK Financial Controller in a multi-million pound, FTSE 100 company.  I have had varied roles across my working life, including working with sales teams, IT and across other functions.  I have worked on many different processes including forecasting, budgeting, process improvements and systems implementations.  I passionately believe that finance should add value to a business.

I understand that most of you will think of your accountant as a necessary evil, ensuring accounts are completed and filed on time and calculating tax due etc.  By working with me I hope to change your view, to show you how I can help you understand your business numbers better and provide timely information to help you make decisions about your business and its growth.  I would like to help you improve your financial processes, to help you to remove as much of the boring, repetitive tasks as possible, to free up more of your time to spend running your business.

​Of course I will also ensure your accounts and tax are completed and filed on time!

I believe that we should embrace technology and what it can offer us and as such I believe in trying to use Cloud based accounting systems as much as possible.  The benefits of which are great and I appreciate that to many of you it feels like a big step, but I can help with the transition.
